Along the Vall de Boí we can find several churches and a hermitage that belong to the Romanesque Ensemble, designated a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It is an architectural style from the eleventh and twelfth centuries.

The famouse church of Sant Climent is only a few meters away from our campsite. There you will be able to admire its medieval art through Videomapping. In addition to this church, the churches that belong to this Ensemble are: Santa Maria de Taüll, Sant Joan de Boí, Santa Eulàlia d'Erill la Vall, Sant Feliu de Barruera, La Nativitat de Durro, Santa Maria de Cardet, La Assumpció de Cóll and the hermitage of Sant Quirc de Durro.

In Erill la Val you can visit the Romanesque Centre, where you can book guided visits.

This park is the only National Park in Catalunya and ̶ together with Ordesa National Park in Aragón and The Pyrenees National Park in France ̶ portrays magnificently the beauty and natural wealth of Pyrenean sceneries.

With summits higher than 3000 meters, and numerous lakes, forests, rivers and ravines, the biodiversity that lives in these landscapes is huge: bearded vultures, marmots, otters, chamois, mountain arnica, holly trees...

During the year, you can appreciate the beauty of each season and access to guided activities inside the park. You can get more information about the Park in the "Casa del Parque" at the village of Boí.

With the arrival of summer, the villages of the Vall de Boí start to celebrate each year the Fallas, a sun and fire celebration, that has been designated World Intangible Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO.

The Fallas day, the “fallaires” go up to the “Faro”, a bonfire located in a high area and far from the village. When the night falls, the fallaires will light their "Falla" (a torch made previously with pine, ash and hazel wood) at the Faro to begin the descent towards the village. There they will be welcomed by the rest of the people with a party with music and another bonfire where they will burn the fallas.

During the summer there are other festivals and cultural events in the valley.

In the Val de Boí valley there are different signedposted routes for all ages and levels.

You can enjoy trails connecting villages and high mountain routes, the cultural heritage or the beautiful landscapes where you can observe the fauna and flora of the Pyrenees. Here you will find more information: https://vallboi.cat/en/senderisme

Depending on the season, you can practice different sport activities. In winter, skiing and snow rackets will allow you to explore the snowy landscapes. The rest of the year, it is possible to practice canyoning, climbing, trekking, running, cycling tours and other open air activities.

 

Only 7km away from the campsite, you will be able to enjoy the Ski Resort Boí-Taüll, the highest ski resort in Catalunya (minimum height 2020m and maximum 2751m) where you will be able to practice and learn your favourite sports: skiing, snow rackets, snowboard..., with slopes for all levels.

Campsite customers receive a discount on skis and snowboard rental and clothing in Esports Raspa Roia shops (Taüll and Pla de l'Ermita).

Another unique feature in the surroundings is the Thermal Spa Resort of Caldes de Boí. This resort offers a wide variety of mineral-medicinal springs (a total of 37) which flow to the surface between 24 and 56ºC of temperature.

The spa resort complex contains a thermal spa services building, with 1.200 m² of the most modern wellness facilities, and a large garden area with outdoor and indoor pools.
